Our publication is for any woman who wishes to share her creative and spiritual journey. We publish submissions as they are received. We are accepting recipes, poems, essays, stories, artwork. We accept anything that is inspiring and uplifting that relates to our work. See our About page for more information.
Submissions can be in any of the following forms:
- Full-length articles (max. 2000 words. Longer articles can be published in a series)
- Meditations/Guided Visualizations
- Poems
- Creative Fiction (max. 3000 words. Longer stories can be published in a series)
- Chants (we have the ability to upload mp3, if you wish to submit a chant in this format)
- Recipes
- Crafts
- Pictures of artwork
- Photos
Submission Guidelines for Written Work:
All submissions must be the original work of the author. Accepted formats are Word Document or PDF. Please use the default font. Cite all resources and include your name and e-mail address at the top of your work. All published contributions will give credit to the author unless otherwise requested. We reserve the right to edit for length, clarity, and grammar.
Submission Guidelines for Graphic Art/Photo:
We accept graphic art and photographs suitable for reproduction in black and white or color. All graphic art and photo submissions must be the original work of the artist. Accepted formats are .jpg or .tif files.
Make your name the name of the file. All published contributions will give credit to the artist unless otherwise requested. All materials must contain the artist’s name, address, and phone number on each item.
For both Written and Graphic Art/Photo Submissions:
All works remain the property of the author. We ask for one time electronic rights. Upon publication, the copyright reverts back to the author. You are free to have the work reprinted in another form or publication (though if you’d like, you can credit that it first appeared in The Tor Stone). If your work has been published elsewhere, please make sure that you have the rights from that publisher to reprint your work elsewhere. We can include the credit where it was first published, if necessary.
Please include a short biography including if you are a SoA member and when you joined the SoA. Please keep in mind that this publication is not SoA-specific and is open for anyone on the internet to see. Therefore, if you wish to use a pseudonym, please indicate it in your submission.
